Africa Safari South Serengeti offers comfortable glamping in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, providing convenient access to the crater and situated on the southern side of Lake Ndutu within the Serengeti National Park. This location combines the best of both worlds! An nearby airstrip enables connections to other major airstrips and airports.
The area is renowned for the calving season of the Great Migration, which is one of the highlights of the annual wildebeest migration. The short rains in November and December result in nutritious pastures for the wildebeest, who remain in the area until the end of the long rains. Most calves are born in January and February. The open grassy plains provide some safety for these young wildebeest, but they are still vulnerable to predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.
From April to November, the southeastern plains dry out, yet there is still a rich variety of wildlife in the vicinity. Two water sources, Lake Masek and Lake Ndutu, attract many animals seeking to drink.
The accommodation consists of 15 tents (9 Safari Comfort and 6 Luxury Glamping), arranged in two wings that flank a central restaurant tent and a bar/lounge tent. Each classic safari tent is fully furnished with locally made furniture and features an en suite bathroom. Additionally, there are 5 Safari Tents available that provide shared toilet and shower facilities.
